Nov. 12, 2024 UPDATE 

Basketball season is up and running! We are kicking off our basketball season for our grade 6, 7, and 8s beginning on November 12.

For the first few weeks of the season practices will run from 3:05 to 4:30:

• boys practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays 
• girls practice on Mondays and Wednesdays 

Once we see how many players we have coming out and what the makeup of our teams will likely be, we will put together future schedules.The season will most likely begin during the second week of December and run through to February Break (February 14). Middle A (grade 7s / 8s) games will be on Mondays (girls @ 4:00; boys @ 5:30); Middle B (grade 6s / 7s) games will be on Thursdays (girls @ 4:00; boys @ 5:30).

Our Kilometer Club for grades 1-8 will run from Sept. 9 until Oct. 10 during both (primary and middle school) lunch recesses. Parents are welcome to meet their child outside on the track but unfortunately, pets aren't able to attend.

We have a couple of other cross-country events this fall...

Chinook's Edge Grade 7-12 Fun Run will be held on September 18th @ RVS. Grade 7 & 8 students who qualify at this run will move on to compete at the CESD South Cross Country Run on September 25th, which will also be held at RVS. 

Chinook's Edge Grade K-6 Fun Run will be held at Innisfail on October 3rd. Details will be posted once they are available.

Our volleyball season will get underway starting September 9th. Please stay tuned for further updates.

The season's game schedule will likely begin late September. More details will be posted when they become available.

With the warmer weather, comes our track and field season!

Upcoming meets:

Grade 5 - 8 RVS Track Meet: Mon., May 13 

Grade 7 & 8 CESD Divisional Track Meet: Thurs., May 23

Grade 7 & 8 South Central Zone Track Meet: Tues., May 28

Practices will begin on Monday, March 18 and will run from 3:05 until 4:30. Athletes must be picked up at 4:30.

Regular participants will be invited to compete for the school at the divisional tournament later in the spring.  If many participants are trying for the same category a playoff will be held.

This will be the schedule to start with and might vary depending on the number of participants:

Monday and Wednesday - Grade 8

Tuesday and Thursday - Grade 7
